    • Murray S. Ratliff was declared a habitual drunkard and sent to the State Asylum. His brother Robert was granted guardianship of his estate. By December of 1913, he was declared cured and the guardianship was removed. Murray had beenconfined since January 1949 in Belleair Sanatorium in Mobile Co., AL., a place for those suffering mental problems. He had $14,000.00 worth of government bonds that the court gave his daughter permission to cash in as necessary to takecare of him. She was limited to not more than $200 per month, as of October 28, 1952. Murray died the following December.
