      SEABROOK Charles W. GOODWIN, 76, of 84 Folly Mill Road, Seabrook, Rockingham, NH died Monday, 17 APR 1995, at the N.H. Veterans Home in Tilton, Belknap, NH.
      He was born August 7, 1918, in Kittery, York, Maine, the son of the late Fred J. GOODWIN and Beulah M. WILSON Goodwin.
      He attended Seabrook public schools and was a 1936 graduate of Amesbury (Essex, MA) High School.
      He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving aboard the USS Texas and the USS Quincy. He participated in Normandy, Tulon and Cherbourgh, France, and the Africa campaigns.
      Mr. Goodwin was a tool room mechanic at the Portsmouth (Rockingham, NH) Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1974.He was a member of the Raymond
      E. Walton American Legion Post No. 70 of Seabrook; Rockingham, NH; a life member of the Carriagetown Post No. 71, Disabled American Veterans of Amesbury, Essex, MA; and a member of St. Mark’s Lodge AF&AM of Newburyport, Essex, MA.
      The widower of Doris B. GREATON Goodwin, who died in 1994, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Sheryl J.) Goodwin, of Newbury, Essex, MA; two grandchildren, Fawn and Keith GOODWIN of Newbury, Essex, MA; one brother. EdwardGOODWIN of Seabrook, Rockingham, NH; two sisters, Evelyn Graves of Farmington, Franklin, ME and Betty Gregg of Windham [Windham Center], Cumberland, ME; and several nieces and nephews.
      Funeral services were held Friday, 21 APR 1997, 10 a.m., at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home in Hampton, Rockingham, NH. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Seabrook, Rockingham, NH.
      Memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Christmas Party, American Legion Post No. 70, WALTON ROAD, SEABROOK NH 03874.
