      Ella Boyce Rogerson, of McGinnis Circle, died April 13, 1990, in Portsmouth.

      Mrs. Rogerson, a native of Chowan County, N.C., was a charter member of Alexander Baptist Church. She was the widow of Daniel L. Rogerson.

      Survivors include a daughter, Mae R. Thompson; a son, William J. Rogerson; and a sister, Belle Eure, all of Portsmouth; a stepsister, Mary Sawyer of Chesapeake; two brothers, Mack L. Lane of Hertford, N.C., and John H. Davis of Warrenton,N.C.; two stepbrothers, George A. Davis of Chesapeake and Cecil Davis of Little Rock, Ark.; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

      The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Alexander Baptist Church by the Rev. Alan G. Moor. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Snellings Funeral Home, ChurchlandChapel. Memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters or the American Cancer Society.
