      Deceased Name: ELMER R. BUNCH
      Elmer Ray Bunch, of the 5600 block of Shoulders Hill Road, died Jan. 28, 1992, in his home.

      Mr. Bunch was born in Hobbsville, N.C. He had retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 33 years. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Bennett's Creek Ruritan Club, International Order of OddFellows, Old Dominion Lodge 5 and was a volunteer for Bennett's Creek Rescue Squad.

      Survivors include his wife, Mary Eberwine Bunch; two sons, Conrad R. Bunch of Chesapeake and Kenneth E. Bunch of Richmond; his stepmother, Lillian Bunch of Tyner, N.C.; a sister, Kathleen Wenger of Sandusky, Ohio; a brother, Deroy Bunchof Tyner; and two grandchildren.

      The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. David H. Howell. Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, is handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at the residence.

      Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
