      Ellie C. Goodwin
      PORTSMOUTH - Ellie Cornelia Goodwin, 84, of the 1100 block of Melvin Drive died March 13, 2007, in her residence. A native of Nansemond County, Virginia, she was the widow of Edward Ray Baines and Kay H. Goodwin. She retired from C&PTelephone. She was a member of Jackson Memorial Baptist Church and its T.E.L. Class and was a member and chaplain of Fellowship Chapter No. 140 Order of Eastern Star.
      Survivors include a son, Dennis K. Goodwin and wife Priscilla of Portsmouth; and a granddaughter, Carol E. Goodwin.
      A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. H.B. Jackie Allen. Burial in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.Memorial donations may be made to Jackson Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund or to a charity of choice.
