    Occupation a woodcarver. He was the greatest carver of ships' figureheads that America has ever produced. Eagles carved by Bellamy are today (1947) collector's items. His carving he did in a little building made from Sir William Pepperrell'scounting house which stands (1947) at the water's edge before the 1682 Pepperrell Mansion.
    For the greater part of his life, he lived in the Pepperrell Mansion. After his death, the mansion became the property of his niece and nephews, Mrs. Alonzo Wildes of Kittery, ME; Dr. Victor Safford of Jamaica Plain, MA; and thelate (1947) Eugene Williams of Kittery, ME, who lived in it until his death. The Bellamy family continued to live in the mansion until Bellamy heirs sold it in 1945 to Martin Frost of Frost Garrisons, Eliot, ME.  [2
